Maarten Verbraeken

Officer, Hydrogen Accelerator

Maarten obtained an M. Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He then went on to do a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, researching hydride materials for hydrogen storage and energy conversion after which he carried out postdoctoral work involving strontium titanate electrodes for fuel cells and their scale up into industrial systems. He latterly spent several years researching carbon capture by means of adsorption at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh, but is now looking forward to working on the Hydrogen Accelerator.
