Officer, Hydrogen Accelerator
James obtained his MSc in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen in 2012, after which he commenced eight years of employment in Oil & Gas, initially as a fluids analyst in reservoir laboratories. Thereafter, he moved into offshore operations engineering, where James organised and executed wellsite analysis and sampling projects across the globe.
During the pandemic, James completed an MSc in Energy & Economics from Heriot-Watt University, through which he developed a strong interest in hydrogen and its prospects in a net-zero future, particularly how it might impact heavy-duty transport.
James is very much looking forward to combining his operational experience with his newly acquired knowledge to help drive hydrogen’s development in Scotland with the Hydrogen Accelerator.
