We are  seeking to recruit a Hydrogen Accelerator Officer (Project Engineer), who will provide support to the Hydrogen Accelerator’s activities. The ideal candidate will ensure the Hydrogen Accelerator’s partners receive high quality service and advice. The role holder will provide specialist advice to the Hydrogen Accelerator and its stakeholders, including non-specialists such as local authorities.

The successful candidate will provide a point of reference, guidance and advice on energy projects in the hydrogen sector both from a technical perspective and around relevant policy matters. The post holder will also have a critical role in developing collaborative relationships between project stakeholders and must be responsive to the demands of the stakeholders as well as the technical demands of the project.

As part of the engagement with stakeholders, such as public bodies, the role holder will be expected to manage expectations, identify key opportunities around funding and apply lessons from previous projects within the sector. Applicants must have experience of working in the energy sector and be able to demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach to the sector.  Candidates must be able to adapt quickly to new challenges and have a positive attitude to working and communicating with a range of partners with varying degrees of specialist knowledge.
