Angel Trains, a leading UK rolling stock asset management company, has announced that it is partnering with Arcola Energy and consortium organisations, including the Hydrogen Accelerator based at the University of St Andrews to deliver Scotland’s Zero Emission train project. Angel Trains will provide vital rolling stock knowledge and significant investment through the provision of green hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. Angel Trains is an important addition to the consortium and has already provided technical advice, parts and equipment to the project.
This is an important new development to delivering Scotland’s first hydrogen powered train which will be operational during COP26 from the 1st –12th November, 2021.
Professor John Irvine from the University of St Andrews and Chair of the Hydrogen Accelerator said: “The Scottish Hydrogen Zero Emission Train project is a great example of the collaboration we aim to foster.
